Hi @Sikko, it’s nice to meet you! Animals can truly bring such great comfort to us, especially these intelligent service dogs. We looked into a service dog for my disabled veteran father a few years ago and there were a couple of options– pre-trained dogs seemed a bit hard to come by, understandably, but there was a very interesting option of enrolling in a training program to train a dog of your choosing. While the latter is a LOT more intensive, my father seemed intrigued at the idea of learning and growing their partnership together from the ground up that would come with training his own dog in the service canine program we had looked at.
