About Me
I’m 38 years old and experiencing pain that makes everyday life tough. In 2005 I experienced a compression fracture in my lumbar vertebrae. I do believe there were other undiagnosed problems with that injury. Fast forward, 3 years ago I was diagnosed with degenerative disc disease, arthritis, and mild scoliosis (which I never had prior 2005). I’m in severe pain 24/7. It never goes away and increases when sitting. Insurance will not cover surgery because the dr can not pin point the exact location of my pain. The dr also said surgery is likely not a fix to my pain. Unless I’m experiencing debilitating leg pain, he can’t do a thing. My dr said my only hope is to get a spinal pain stimulator. My insurance refuses to cover this because they deemed it as “experimental.” I’m in pain management, but nothing works. I’ve tried physical therapy and a chiropractor many times. I workout regularly and am in good health/ average weight. I an religious and pray, get messages, and gave a tens unit. I just started but expensive compound cream that the pharmacy specially makes, but not getting any relief. No relief from steroid shots of facet joint injections. I’m here to meet people who have similar symptoms and to learn how to cope with this life changing disease.
