@eclecticzebra I guess it’s just relaxations’ frequency, does not really heal, but I believe music, sound and chants can be used for healing in many cultures, there are some researches done about sound healing https://soundhealingcenter.com/

Have you even gone to a drum circle? I’ve gone a few times in the past-(I have given natural relief more than the old college try lol) it was so fun- same premise. I’m sure they can be found in your area, give it a shot, if anything, you will meet some interesting people and have a lot of fun!

My mom reached out to me today to let me know that she suspects she may have Fibromyalgia. I admit, I don’t know much about Fibro, but I am joining this group to learn more. I am open to any information that anyone would like to share, and am already diving into the existing posts! Thanks a bunch. : )

Oh noooo 🙁 The only positive is that there is now a blood test for it, vs. the old school pressure point testing. Does she have the whole body nerve pain? I do hope she doesn’t have to step through all the nonsense that most have to go through before they get to what helps. It is all trial and error. I know a lot of people who have had great…Read More

https://www.fmtest.com/ FM/a® Test I do suspect your PCPs are still unaware there is a blood test. I’ll have to look to find the codes, it’s always better to have them, deceases the likelyhood of them ordering the incorrect one and/or not testing. What are her symptoms that led her to feel she may have Fibro?…Read More

@eclecticzebra Oh my gosh, I’m screenshotting this and sending it to her. I think she needs to just join the community; let’s see what we can do!

I will help her as much as I can 😉 When they step you through medications, be careful with Wellbutrin and Cymbalta. Wellbutrin, I blacked out at the top of 25 steps holding my 6 month old-woke up 5 minutes later they said- she was fine luckily, I had such a grip on her she was on top of me the whole ride..gahhh I had been on it for 20 days at…Read More

Did the Momz join? Has she had her appt. yet? Inquiring minds need to know 😉 ((giggle)) I was thinking back to when I was determined to do this naturally, SalonPas was a great product! With Fibro you’d really need a SalonPas infused blanket (business idea!) but for knees, back etc, it does help fairly well.

@Rida This is INCREDIBLE! Do you use these kinds of videos often?

I’d be super interested in hearing about anyone’s go-to products for getting these wild migraines under control when they decide to strike. I was recently introduced to these cooling patches that adhere to your forehead and while it was a bit relieving, I found that they warmed up way too quickly. I’m not sure which brand I had tried– just…Read More

Have you tried making one? (alcohol+water) Had to make huge ones after my Little had surgery years ago -they lasted a few hours, which to me seemed like a long time. I had wrapped them in those cooling towels that you snap to start them cooling again. The more water the harder it freezes, alcohol keeps it slushy (doesn’t freeze) Maybe you could…Read More

@eclecticzebra I hadn’t actually considered making one– do you happen to know about the water/alcohol ratio? I figured alcohol would make things burn-y but I am intrigued because this sounds cheaper!

I *think* it was 2:1 water: alcohol I had to mold them a bit (she had screws placed in her hips-needed it more solid) so I had to make it thick- the more alcohol, the more pliable it will be. It’s not an exact science and easy to adjust if you need it less pliable. You can use booze too but gah! what a waste LOL Food coloring and glitter makes…Read More

The Truth About How Chronic Pain Affects Relationships

Top reason I got divorced, and not in the way you think. It’s very difficult to suffer with chronic pain and other ailments and still be viewed as ‘normal’ just because you just literally crawled to the kitchen and made the kids grilled cheese. I’d rather be alone than have someone sit and watch vs. getting off their @ss and helping-better…Read More

@eclecticzebra Ugh. I am right there with you. When you are chronically ill, there is NO room for a lazy and non-understanding partner.

I am here to tell you that for 41 years I have been fighting chronic pain. 40 years of bs ,I have come to understand that it was my insurance that got me 360+ doctors 😐 I am here to tell you that I Medicare doesn’t pay as well as pricing is dubiously cheap.

@christian-reuther Welcome to Pain Resource– you’ve found a really great community and we are happy that you found us. I am sorry to hear that; I have heard it can be a difficult transition between the two.
