Feeling really fatigued and sad. Holidays have been rough since my Dad passed away last year and my 10yr old dog passed away 5mths ago.

@sammiekay08 I’ve tried enjoying things we did together but it just makes me cry and miss him more. I do talk to him n hold his Urn. Because of him being in a different state n the pandemic we were only able to talk on the phone and email. He didn’t do the video call thing I tried. Then he got very tired after trying Chemo for his lung cancer and he said he couldn’t take it anymore. He went into hospice. And they had rules for visiting so I couldn’t even go see him for 10 days. He didn’t last that long. He was in hospice care for 2½ days and passed away. I didn’t get to say goodbye or see him. I think that’s why his passing is so difficult for me.

Oh @Micheleburnettmom all of my love to you… The holidays are a REALLY hard time for me too, because of missing my dad so much. This is our 3rd Christmas without him and honestly, it’s hard to feel like it’s that time of year with his chair sitting empty. I still can’t listen to Christmas music without crying, as he was ALWAYS the spirit of Christmas to me. I wish I could give you a great big hug right now– I can’t imagine not having that closure… PLEASE feel free to message me anytime if you need to talk to someone who somewhat understands. Life never prepares us for losing a parent.

Sending you so much love. What things did you love to do with your dad? I find it helps to do things they enjoyed and talk to them..because they’re always there with you, especially whenever you think about them! ❤️
