Hi all. I’m new to this group. Is anyone here from the Toronto (Canada) area? I’ve been looking for local support groups but Google has turned up nothing, sadly.

Recently diagnosed with fibromyalgia. In a great deal of pain right now and nothing seems to be working. What is most effective in alleviating your pain?

I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia back in 2010. I have tried all kinds of prescription medications and have never found anything to really work for me. I also feel like it is different with everyone: what might work for me may not work for 20 others. That being said: I use cannabis and I exercise. Yoga has helped me a lot, as well. Hi! I suffer from fibromyalgia, chronic migraines and a few other conditions. I seem to have lost my way in life..as in, I have no drive to do anything.

I suffered bad flare ups off and on for 3 weeks. Was like they were never going to stop.

Ugh, I hope they have stopped and you feel better! Do you think it’s diet, weather, sleeping position? For me, the common cause is good old yummy MSG causing flares gahh

@eclecticzebra I guess it’s just relaxations’ frequency, does not really heal, but I believe music, sound and chants can be used for healing in many cultures, there are some researches done about sound healing https://soundhealingcenter.com/

Have you even gone to a drum circle? I’ve gone a few times in the past-(I have given natural relief more than the old college try lol) it was so fun- same premise. I’m sure they can be found in your area, give it a shot, if anything, you will meet some interesting people and have a lot of fun!
