Oh I love toothy questions! I was an EFDA for over 20 years before I became disabled. How long ago did you have the filling placed? Is it amalgam or composite? (silver/tooth colored)

If you take the handle of a metal spoon and lightly! tap on that tooth you will be able to figure out if that is indeed the tooth causing you pain.

I don’t feel anything when the spoon I used the spoon on the teeth but it feels a little sensitive than before I still have one more cavity to fill up this week and I will consult the doctor if it persists or occurs again thank you @Eclecticzebra

hmm don’t let it go so long or it may end up needing a root canal, could it be the gums? There is a product called Amosan that is mixed with warm water- it helps heal the gums faster after dental work. I am visiting the dentist this Saturday and it’s wasn’t a much big cavity the grinding was very minimum so gum shouldn’t be affected and it’s not much uncomfortable as it was yesterday. I will try the salt water rinse the bite check doesn’t give any sensitivities or pain as it was yesterday. Thank you @Eclecticzebra for helping me out with all these tips.

Oh good, glad it is normalizing. I always told patients, when drilling into a tooth, compare it to going into a snowstorm naked (stay with me here LOL) The cold exposure, wind, rain-it takes a bit to warm back up and readjust once a filling and/or crown placed.

I returned home from the dentist and they checked the previous filling and did a mild grinding for the mild sensitivities and filled it again now it’s all fine than you @Eclecticzebra for all your valuable advices.
