Very much so. My genetic syndromes and chronic pain were a huge factor in my divorce. From my end as well as his. I went from being the caregiver to being the one in need of one. Then the til’ death do you part went POOF. It’s difficult being a caregiver as well as being the one needing it but, both, rarely works. Relationships need to be as close…Read More

My husband suffers from Chronic Pain due to Acute Osteo-Arthritis and degenerative disc disease. I have been researching TENS units and any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

@lilbrightone I’d definitely ask his doctor first of course, but there are a LOT of highly-rated TENS units available on Amazon! I personally had a great experience using them in the past for my back and shoulder pain that I experienced after a car wreck. I hope that helps!

If you have insurance it would be covered for sure but your options may more more limited. The one I have literally sitting in front of me at the moment is a POHAKU model AS8012 -I do like it, it’s small, portable, gives you options of pad sizes and a huge array of settings for pulses as well as low to high strength and timer. It’s small,…Read More

It has been eons but at PT they used it and it felt like it was the most effective treatment for my pain at the time. I’m sure they have home devices either OTC or even a prescription and insurance route would…Read More

Don’t forget stretching. I have the same plus djd. I like dry needling. It really helps with the pain in the muscles and better movement. Also help with sciatica.
-
@christymurray ABSOLUTELY! I can always tell the days I haven’t stretched enough.

@christymurray Your talking about Acupuncture right?

Very impactful statement. I agree – hearing from more of this community on the impacts of this, and even how it is managed on a day to day basis, would certainly be helpful for us.
