Upper back has been hurting for about a week now. Not sure why yet. I wake up with it hurting. Standing, sitting, and breathing make it worse. Hopefully I just pulled something and it will get better.

I have had that happen before. I usually have to alternate heat and ice, along with take a muscle relaxer that is prescribed to me. I hope you feel better soon.

So sorry to hear that, @Karen-Origer-Greco has anything that you tried help? I like to take hot baths with epsom soak when I’m dealing with that kind of pain.
